PIVOT Book Trailer

I am IN LOVE with this book trailer for PIVOT. And it was such an intriguing process to have input on the trailer itself. Several of the clips I myself chose, and the woman who represents Jack is just so perfect. I think the most interesting thing I learned about creating a book trailer is the sliding scale between literally representing the book and getting the feel right and “baiting the hook.” If the hook perfectly represents the book, and the feel represents the book, then one can slide away from literalness. I have to say, though, that this book trailer does a pretty good job of capturing both literal and atmospheric elements. It’s just so awesome!

"Suspenseful and delightfully disturbing (...) This is a promising beginning to the Jack Harper trilogy." ―Booklist @LCBarlowAuthor https://www.amazon.com/Pivot-L-C-Barlow/dp/1644280531/

"Some people do not seem to grasp that I still have to sit down in peace and write the books…”

I am always excited to find a new author to read but am so disappointed that my instant gratification cannot be satisfied. I must actually have to WAIT to read the next book in a trilogy. SHIT! You better write faster young lady cause I want it NOW! ☹️ But until then I must say thank you for something that I thoroughly enjoyed, and even though I read upwards of 100 books a year it looks like I will reread this one just before I read the next. Not a social media person but I will definitely keep talking about the series when people ask what I have read lately that is good. And trust me they do. V. Bocchicchio ... See MoreSee Less

L. C. Barlow

“Beyond good and evil, Pivot juggles archetypes until you're not sure which ball is airborne and which is still in the author's hand. A story about cracking free of your intended role in life, as plot and depth travel at the same exceptional speed.”
—Josh Malerman, NYT Bestselling Author of Bird Box

L. C. Barlow

"Pivot is perhaps one of the best first novels I have ever read. Tight. Clean. Imaginative. It's rare for a first-time author to create a homicidal protagonist who you want to follow. I'm eager to read more of these characters, because in Pivot, Barlow creates a universe of cruel."
